Books with a cause project

1. Transparency: This auction supports a special cause. Because of this we will congratulate and thank winners for their donations within this group within 72 hours after payments are received and so that everyone can follow the progress of the fundraiser.

2. This auction serves as a fundraising effort and therefore commitment on your part is required to pay for your books won during this auction within 24 hours after the auction ended. Regret: No arrangements will be made for future payments for any person under any circumstances.

3. For bookkeeping purposes, we require that books sold during the auction be paid separately from regular orders and you will receive a separate order from your regular orders. These books can however be added to your current book box/bag to save on Pudo / Courier.

4. Payment options: Immediate EFT (Please send pop via WhatsApp / notify admins asap of payment). Cash on collection within 24 hours during open store hours, Thursdays 11am – 5pm. Credit / Debit card payments within 24 hours. Banking details & links will be sent in private directly after the auction.

5. In case of non-payment from the highest bidder within 24 hours: The second highest bidder will be given the opportunity to purchase the book(s) at the second highest bid price(s) and will be given 24 hours to pay.

6. If no payments are made towards books won during the auction: We will consider our attempt to raise funds on these books towards the cause as unsuccessful.

7. Unless specified otherwise: All books are preloved/preowned and may exhibit inscriptions, signs of wear, water/damp/foxing damage, old retail sticker residue, and so forth and are sold ‘voetstoots’ or ‘as is’ and cannot be exchanged or returned for a refund.

8. There are 10 lots available, and each lot will be posted individually.

9. Bidding time will be limited to two minutes, but it will be extended until “no more bids” in the event of active bidding. Books with no bids will be deleted from the group during the auction.

10. Please note: Prices have been lowered for the auction; however, if there are no winners, they will revert to their regular retail price after the auction concludes. These items will be available for sale after the auction in one of our groups at a later stage.

11. Pudo/Courier services can be arranged privately after the event. Pudo / Courier costs are for the buyer’s account.
